Brain Tumor

The growth of abnormal cells, also called a mass, located in the brain. This type of growth is often malignant, or cancerous, however, it can also be benign, or noncancerous. Malignant brain tumors can originate in the brain or spread to the brain from cancer in other parts of the body. The severity of the effect a brain tumor can have on the nervous system is relative to the rate of growth as well as the tumor’s location.
