Bent Philipson

Founder

Bent Philipson is a healthcare entrepreneur with over three decades of experience providing high-quality nursing and rehabilitation care to those who need it most. Throughout his career, Philipson has held steadfast to his commitment to providing the best care possible so that everyone can live a full life with dignity and respect.

As the founder of Philosophy Care, Bent Philipson oversees one of the leading networks of skilled nursing facilities located throughout New York and New Jersey. Under Philipson’s leadership, Philosophy Care offers individualized, value-based care devoted to the physical and emotional wellbeing of its residents.

A pioneer in long-term care, Bent Philipson has a keen eye for evolving healthcare trends, new regulations, and patient needs. It is for that reason that Philipson and his team have been able to care for some of the most at-risk populations in the country, including Alzheimer’s care, stroke recovery, cardiac rehabilitation, and palliative care, among others.

Bent Philipson has long focused on providing residents with innovative health programs, maintaining cutting-edge healthcare technology, and employing compassionate professionals that bring years of experience to their roles. Philosophy Care’s ‘Heart Smart’ program, for example, incorporates a diet developed by top dieticians to decrease congestive heart failure and a variety of other illnesses that occur as a result of poor nutrition. For patients requiring advanced ventilator care, Philosophy Care provides access to revolutionary VOSCN ventilators with an integrated oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, and cough assist features. It is largely thanks to the excellent team of healthcare workers Philipson has assembled that populations across the east coast have access to this level of advanced care.

Previously, Bent Philipson served as COO at one of the largest for-profit networks of nursing home facilities in New York. Philipson led initiatives to provide short and long-term rehabilitation, specialized care, and unique nursing programs to residents across their 25 locations.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Bent Philipson supports a number of Jewish healthcare and educational organizations, including Colel Chabad, Hatzalah, and Hillel International, the largest Jewish campus organization in the world. Philipson has also personally hosted events to benefit single mothers, sick children, and troubled teens. He also serves as Chairman for Mir Yeshiva, the largest yeshiva in the world.

Born in Denmark and raised in London, Bent Philipson came to the United States in the late 80s. He works and lives in the greater New York City area with his family.
